This was my first Vino Italiano kit. I'm quite pleased with the results! The feedback from my friends has all been quite positive, and I think it tastes just dandy for a blush.
The kit was easy to make. Depending on the temperature of your workspace, it takes roughly 4 weeks, though I personally think it was much better after aging a bit. Drinkable right after bottling, but better if you wait a couple months.
Simple to make, came with the corks, labels and capsules. Mixed up well, fermented properly, and clarified beautifully. Can't ask for more than that for a buck and a half a bottle.

This review is from: Bottle Capper - Red Baron for Homebrew
I have used this bottle capper for 3 batches so far. It is constructed really solid and looks like it is going to hold up well. After the first few bottles, I could tell it was much better than my other one. Because of the design, I can cap a lot faster with this one too. Its kind of ugly though.

this thing rocks! i am new to beer but have made wine in the past and i expected this caper to be as hard to use as a cheap corker(you have to push on a plunger with a bajillion pounds of force) but no! this thing is good quality fairly inexpensive and is easy to use. Who cares if this thing doesn't work on champagne bottles this thing is just as good or better than any bench caper because you don't have to align the bottle underneath it perfectly you just put it on top of the bottles and pull the levers down and you have a perfectly capped bottle of beer.

This is a great capper. Another review suggested that it doesn't work on champagne bottles. Certainly, this may be true for corking. However, the metal plates also support 29mm necks, you just need to use a screwdriver and a few taps from the back, underneath the handles, to pop them out. Once the plates are out, turn them around and as long as the cap will fit (beer caps in the US are generally 26mm), you can cap it. The crown also screws out and can be replaced for 29mm caps. I've used this on champagne bottles with 26mm caps and it works great.

From Vinturi, the deluxe aerator set includes the new Vinturi tower and the sensational Vinturi red wine aerator. The set has a two piece design which makes it easy to clean and easy to store (even though you'll want to keep this beautiful set out in full view). Tower features a stylish no-splash grate which eliminates mess. Vinturi has been a sensation because it works. Red wine needs to breathe to allow it to open up, release its intended aromas, and of course, make it taste better. Vinturi's patent pending design speeds up this process by instantly aerating with ease and convenience. Taste your wine the way the winemaker intended. It delivers recognizable improvements immediately: better bouquet, enhanced flavors and smoother finish. Perfect aeration in the time it takes to pour a glass! It couldn't be easier. Vinturi aerator sits on top of tower allowing for easy, hands-free operation. The glossy, clear acrylic is elegant and clean. But do note that there are two slight fold lines in the Vinturi aerator that extend upward from each air hole. These are normal. During manufacturing, material folds around rods and wraps back, and this causes the fold lines. Both items are dishwasher safe.
Stylish 6-piece set includes the Vinturi red wine aerator, tower arm, tower base, no-splash grate, and sediment filter
Wine aerator mixes wine with air to enhance flavor, bouquet, and finish of any red wine
Curved acrylic 2-piece tower floats aerator, secures wine glass, and provides a dramatic presentation

First of all, if you are a wine drinker, get this. It works, or else I've been taken by the psychology of it. I first encountered it at the Sterling winery in California. Since we were joining the "club", we got quasi-VIP treatment, which included a demo of this device on a newly opened bottle of wine (yes, the Sterling wine store had them for sale for $45). Wine was poured into one glass from the bottle, and another through the Vinturi. It clearly made a difference in aroma and taste. We've since done a couple of blind tests, and picked the aerated wine every time.
Now, let me save you a couple bucks. The basic device includes a small rubber stand for storing the Vinturi. It is just fine. The upgraded 6-piece set includes a less-than-useful stand. It is not attractive enough to leave on display, so it's another bulky thing to store. Also, we found that our wine glasses were either too short--and we got spashing--or they were too tall and wouldn't fit. Plus,... Read more

Well, I'll be... this silly little thing actually works. How can you get the effect of decanted wine in the time it takes to pour a glass from a newly-opened bottle? After reading other reviews, I was convinced to try it, but after seeing it work I thought, "There's no way- that was too fast and too easy."
I was wrong.
I took 3 blind taste tests. I washed 2 identical glasses, opened a new bottle of Merlot, poured one straight from the bottle and poured the other through the Vinturi Aerator. I left the room and asked my wife to move the glasses to the table and call me when all the bubbles were gone. There was no question which one had been aerated. I picked it right away. Even when my son tried to tell me I picked wrong, I stood by my choice, it was that obvious. It softens the wine, releases the bouquet and created a silky finish. I took multiple tests and picked it right every time. My wife took turns testing and could tell as well.

I have had this aerator for many months and am very pleased with it's ability to let the wine breath as it is poured. This aerator is quick and relatively neat, except for some drippage from the air holes. I highly recommend it for heavier red wines. Now the stand/tower just makes this drippage issue worse. It runs down the inside of the stand pooling where you would set a glass, and down the outside of the stand directly onto the table/tablecloth. I love my aerator, I just wish it didn't drip the way it does.
